Breaking: Hall of Presidents Set to Reopen

By: Amy Kawa

Disney announced today that the Hall of Presidents is set to reopen on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, over a year after it originally closed for refurbishment after the 2016 presidential election.  This lengthy closure caused much debate among Disney fans as to why such a classic attraction would be closed for so long- did Disney want to include such a controversial figure as #45 in the Hall of Presidents?  How would people respond?  Should he be included but not speak?

The attraction has been essentially redone, with new video content, a new script, and the addition of the controversial current President, #45.  After much debate over #45’s role, we currently know he speaks, and he does so for actually much longer than other presidents have in the past.  George Washington also speaks and Lincoln also takes more of a prominent role on stage.

More details will be available tomorrow after the official opening.
