Some Non-Disney Resorts Afforded Same Fastpass+ Benefits as Those Staying On-Property

By: Amy Kawa

Disney has announced that those staying in Disney Springs Resort Area hotels that aren’t “on-property” but are still “Official Walt Disney World hotels” will receive some of the benefits Disney resort guests receive, including the ability to book Fastpass+ experiences 60 days before your trip as opposed to the 30 day window previously in place.

For those of us who always stay on property, I don’t appreciate Disney extending what is supposed to be an exclusive privilege to those who aren’t being loyal to the Disney name. There will now be even more competition for Fastpass+, particularly making Flight of Passage passes harder than ever to score, not to mention the chaos that will ensue when Toy Story Land opens this summer or Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in 2019.
