It’s hard to believe, but Animal Kingdom officially opened to the public on April 22, 1998. and will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. Each year, Animal Kingdom celebrates its anniversary with a “Party for the Planet,” a multi-day experience that brings out the best the park has to offer, with a plethora of limited edition offerings, including special event-based entertainment options, memorabilia, unique activities, and animal encounters.
Disney has promised to really up the ante for this year’s Party for the Planet, in both extending the number of days and special offerings. This year, be on the lookout for new festival food booths, festival-specific magic shots, character dance parties, a special behind-the-scenes look at the animal care at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, and “Tiffins Talks”- special meals at Animal Kingdom’s signature restaurant with animal specialists where you will learn the ins and outs of the animals that call Animal Kingdom home and the park in general.
This year’s Party for the Planet will start on April 22, 2018. Stay tuned to Dreams on Main Street for the latest updates and booking and pricing information for these special offerings.
