Two New Trailers Debut for Two New Blockbusters

By: Amy Kawa

During the Super Bowl, the new TV spot for Avengers: Infinity War debuted with lots of new footage.  Who isn’t pumped for a Cap, Black Widow, Black Panther, Hulk team-up?!  Catch the Avengers back in theaters May 4, 2018.

Then, on Monday during Good Morning America, the first teaser trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story also debuted, giving us the first look at Han Solo’s origin story.  This film has already been met with a lot of resistance in production with a director change (in steps Ron Howard) and a lackluster marketing campaign to promote the film thus far, leaving fans to questions Lucasfilm’s devotion to the project in general.  Star Wars devotees will be able to have the final say when the movie premiers on May 25, 2018.

Dreamer Amy’s Thoughts: The trailer is better than what I expected.  I just worry that a character as iconic as Harrison Ford’s Han Solo can’t ever be duplicated – or even expanded on.  I don’t really care how Han Solo got to be Han Solo, how he met Lando, or how he became the pirating pilot of the galaxy, and I certainly don’t care to know a Han Solo without Ford.  However, I will absolutely give it a chance because… well, frankly because it’s a Star Wars movie, and I always go see a Star Wars movie.
