The American Adventure Returns from Refurbishment

By: Amy Kawa

This week, the American Adventure returned from refurbishment after a few minor adjustments that have done a great deal to make the attraction look like new.  Lighting and video production elements and transitions have been upgraded in practically every scene, and the audio animatronics have also been touched up.

The biggest, noticeable difference comes at the end of the show, when the American Adventure’s theme song, “Golden Dream,” plays over a video montage featuring American heroes.  The theme song itself was re-recorded, keeping the same lyrics and changing the tune ever so slightly.  Many more contemporary American figures have also been added to the video montage, including President Barack and Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Bill Gates, Michael Phelps, Jimmy Carter, Venus and Serena Williams, LeBron James, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Mark Zuckerberg, and various Olympic teams.  Controversial figures, like Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong, were also removed.  Take a look at the new video montage below thanks to WDWNT:

The American Adventure is a guest favorite, and it looks fresh and ready to go for years to go – “flying high!”
