New Stroller Parking System Testing at Animal Kingdom

By: Amy Kawa

For guests and cast members alike, stroller parking can be a serious headache. It appears as though Disney is taking formal steps to try and relieve some of the mess that comes with guests leaving their strollers wherever, the inability to find their strollers after they park them, and the stress cast members have to endure trying to park them in an orderly fashion.

Starting in Animal Kingdom, with the possibility to roll-out the process to other parks if successful, the pilot program will break down stroller parking into three specific loading zones.  Guests who rent a stroller at Animal Kingdom will receive a specialty tag at the time of rental, and those who bring their own stroller will receive a tag when they visit their first show or attraction that is a part of the program. Tags will be colored to correspond with one of three newly-designated parking zones at the following attractions and shows in the park:

  • Kilimanjaro Safaris
  • “it’s tough to be a bug”
  • Kali River Rapids
  • Finding Nemo – The Musical
  • Festival of the Lion King
  • Wildlife Express Train
  • Rivers of Light
